Our Work

One method. Different parts of life.

Companion organises its work by real environments rather than generic services. The question is the same in each: where is the human carrying unnecessary friction, and what is the least-burden route to improve it?

An honest note. These are areas we investigate and work in. Nothing here should be read as a launched commercial product, and nothing here claims a result that has not been checked.

Communication & relationships

How people struggle to say what they mean, delay difficult conversations, or worry about being a burden — and what makes it easier for one person to be understood by another.

Work & organisations

Where information stops travelling between teams, systems and shifts, and where staff quietly hold a process together with memory and goodwill.

Farming & rural life

Record keeping, isolation, connectivity, compliance and continuity of knowledge in environments where the paperwork rarely matches the field.

Construction & procurement

Where requirements, approvals, handovers or systems create unnecessary burden for the people doing the work.

Learning & education

What learners are expected to carry between settings, and how understanding, context and support get lost at transition points.

Sport & performance

Practice, progress and preparation, and how simple recording can support judgement rather than replace coaching.

Travel & everyday life

What happens when connection, information or continuity fails while a person is moving — and the burden that failure creates.

Animals & care

Continuity of care information across owners, carers and services, where the animal cannot report what has already happened.

Community & connection

How local knowledge, support and contact are maintained, and what gets lost when the people holding it move on.

How we approach an area

Each area starts as a question rather than a solution: what is actually happening here, what is the person being asked to carry, and what would genuinely reduce that burden?

Some of that work stays as research. Some becomes applied consultancy with an organisation on a real process. In every case the evidence is examined before anything is claimed, and no technology is recommended simply because it exists.
